Task Status & Priority

As per the customer’s request and importance, the priority of the task is set and according to the pre-defined rules, action needs to be taken within the time period. Also, the status of task as changed by the worker is updated in the system which can be checked by the office team or customer. For example Paul, a customer sends an urgent pothole repair request; a field service worker named Peter is assigned the task on his MobileWorker with high priority. Peter visits the location, verifies and determines the necessary steps and changes the status to “Completed”. This can be seen by Paul instantly and increases his confidence with the company.

Task Details & Dates

The details related to tasks are well captured with our forms. The categories are pre-populated for minimum human efforts. All these details are processed and sent to the field service workers so they can appropriately carry out the tasks. Also, any detail at a later stage can be updated by the worker as well. The life cycle of a task has three scheduling periods – a planned date, this is concerned to checking the workers availability and the time required to complete the work and accordingly booking this time; a scheduled date, this is when you have spoken to the customer explaining how long the work will take and then confirm a date that will be acceptable to them; and actual date, when worker goes to the location and resolves the issue.

Task Scheduling
